On February 9th, the NUSD school board voted on a new set of back to school policies, with contingencies based upon whether Marin is in the red zone by 5 p.m. on February 10th.

If the requirements are met, the return to school date for NUSD high schools will be February 22nd for 9th and 10th graders. Otherwise, the return date will be March 1st.

The 11th and 12th grade classes will follow a week after the 9th and 10th graders go back to school.

The board has also passed a change to the plan that was set in place a month prior, instead of two weeks in the red, they have changed it to 5 calendar days, according to an email sent to all teachers.

The final change is a definite return date for 7th and 8th grade of February 22nd for hybrid learning.
