The Novato boys basketball team improved to 3-0 on the season (1-0 MCAL) with a dominating 62-42 victory over crosstown rival San Marin. Senior guard Jason Carpenter led the way with 19 points and 11 rebounds, while Neil Knight and Albert Supradit added 14 points apiece in the winning effort.

“It feels amazing to finally beat San Marin, it’s been a long time coming,” said Carpenter. “I’m proud of my boys for the way they competed and although it wasn’t perfect, it was a game to remember.”

Knight described the importance of the win.

“It was one of the best moments of my life. I’m proud of all my teammates and happy for our fans to be able to enjoy this special moment with us,” Knight said

Up next, the Hornets battle El Camino in the Hornets Invitational on Thursday night. Tip off is set for 8 p.m.
